Integers consist of natural numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, ...) and negative (-1, -2, -3, ...; -0 is equal to 0 so that no longer included separately). Integer can be written without a decimal or fractional parts.
The set of all integers in math denoted by Z (or \ mathbb {Z}), derived from Zahlen (German for "numbers").
The set Z is closed under addition and multiplication operations. That is, the sum and the product of two integers is also an integer. But unlike the natural numbers, Z is also closed under subtraction. The results of the division of two integers is not necessarily integers anyway, therefore Z is not closed under division.
