Photoshopping the word appears as a neologism, which means "to edit an image", although processing of the image itself does not use Photoshop as a program (like Google that can now be used as a verb). Adobe discourages use of the term [4] out of fear that it will undermine the company's trademark. The term is also used photoshop as a noun referring to the altered image.
Photoshopping images for the purpose of humor became popular among members of some websites like Something Awful and Fark.
