Magnetic quantum number (m)
Which specific orbital states of electrons in a subshell occupied. It can also be stated that a specific orientation of the orbital in space relative to the core. Value of the magnetic quantum number depends on azimuth quantum numbers, ie integers from-l to + l.
Example:
l = 0, then the value of m = 0 means that there is only one orbital
l = 1, then the value of m = -1, 0, +1, meaning there are 3 orbitals
